Tottenham vs Arsenal
Arsenal will face Tottenham at Wembley and should they fancy themselves to win, this should put them back in the race for a top-four position. Spurs have finally settled into Wembley Stadium, whereas Arsenal has had a good record on this field thanks to recent FA Cup success. An exciting, high-scoring draw in the North London Derby may just be the result.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Both teams are currently with old-school English managers who, so far, have managed to steady their respective ships. However, their good form has somewhat petered out. A draw should be a satisfying result for both teams.
Stoke City vs Brighton
Two teams that are separated by three points, with Stoke in the relegation zone and Brighton just about mid-table. This shows how congested the league table is currently for those teams fighting relegation. A win will do wonders for either team in their quest to stay up. This game may well end in a draw.
Swansea vs Burnley
The Swans since the managerial change have seen an upward turn to the extent they have left the basement and the relegation zone entirely. They face a tricky test to their good form against a resilient Burnley. They may somehow overcome Sean Dyche’s men as they continue their march away from the drop zone.
West Ham vs Watford
The Hammers will this weekend host Watford, who themselves hammered Chelsea in their last fixture. Unlike the current champions, West Ham will seek to disturb the hornet’s nest unscathed. A scoring draw could be the result.
Manchester City vs Leicester
This could prove to be a tricky fixture if Riyad Mahrez, who was linked to City during the recently closed winter window is brought back into the fold. However, City should be able to overcome this threat and continue their march towards the title.
Huddersfield vs Bournemouth
Huddersfield and Bournemouth have pretty much swapped their positions for the better part of the season. Huddersfield will be desperately seeking a win against Eddie Howe’s men, who are on form and in the top 10. Bournemouth, being the seemingly more confident of the sides, may just nick this tie.
Newcastle vs Manchester United
United will be hosted by a Newcastle team fighting tooth and nail to avoid the bottom three. United will seek to cement their second-place position with another win, which they should manage in a fixture that could well be a scrappy affair.
Southampton vs Liverpool
Regardless of their current league positions, this is a keenly anticipated fixture. A huge chunk of this current Liverpool squad were former Southampton players; however, the spotlight will be on the newest Liverpool acquisition from the Saints, Virgil van Dijk. He is expected to receive a not so friendly return to his former home. The Scousers should be able to return to Merseyside with all three points in a high scoring fixture.
Chelsea vs West Brom
Chelsea this season so far have lost six league games. The surprise is they have contrived to lose five of these games to opposition outside the top six. They face another test to one of these teams in the form of cellar dwellers, West Brom. It’s unlikely the outgoing champions will lose three games on the trot. Given that they have a UCL fixture eight days after this against Barcelona, Chelsea should use this fixture to regain confidence. The Blues should be able to take three points at home.
