West Ham vs Tottenham
Both fixtures last season between these London rivals last season were thrillers; the first seeing Spurs come back and win it at the death, the latter seeing Tottenham’s title charge effectively end at the Olympic Stadium. Spurs should start as favourites for this one and take all three. Besides, they aren’t at Wembley.
Everton vs Bournemouth
Everton will seek to get their season back on track against a Bournemouth side that has won two on the trot (league and cup). Both teams should get a draw, which would be a more satisfying result for the visitors and put more pressure on the free-spending Toffees.
Southampton vs Manchester United
This should be a proper test for a Man United team that has been on a good run. In the end, they should overcome their trip to St. Mary’s against a up and down Saints side, coming out as winners.
Stoke City vs Chelsea
Chelsea has a good record against Stoke, even at the bet365 Stadim. They have always put up a fight, even though most times they have gone down. History should repeat itself once more.
Burnley vs Huddersfield
Two steady teams, especially defensively, will lock horns. Burnley seems to have put their poor away form from last season behind them, but haven’t convinced at home. Both teams will get a result at the end.
Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
It’s “The Team To Beat” vs “The Team Everyone Beats.” On paper this looks a straightforward fixture with City scoring goals for fun and Palace conceding for fun. At the final whistle, the form books will play out.
Swansea City vs Watford
Watford has had a good start to their season, but last week played like a Championship side that is facing relegation. This may be where the wheels start to come off as they face up to a steady Swansea team away.
Leicester City vs Liverpool
Liverpool will journey back to the King Power Stadium, the venue of their midweek cup loss, in an effort to end a two-game league losing streak to their hosts. This will be a challenging fixture and they should be satisfied with the spoils shared.
Brighton vs Newcastle
Rafa Benitez’s side has been on a decent run of form while not looking particularly glamorous. As they seek to solidify themselves this season as a mid-table side, these are the fixtures they need to win, and they will against the team the beat to the top of the Championship last season.
Arsenal vs West Brom
You will never know which Arsenal team will turn up these days. They normally do well in these fixtures and a win should be the end result.
Here’s a summary of Ryan’s picks for this week.
