Reports in Germany claim that 23 year old Schalke left back Sead Kolašinac has signed a five year deal with the club on a free, supposedly arriving this summer. Popular cult figures Arsenal Fan TV have run with the story on their twitter feed on a report from local Gelsenkirchen reporter Raphael Wiesweg.

The position has been somewhat of a problem one for the Gunners as they look to reinforce in problem areas after a tumultuous season which has seen persistent calls for 21 year manager Arsene Wenger to call time on his marathon at the London club. So far the origin looks to be this one journalist. We won’t be quick to call this one done as there has been no official word from the club. However, the need for a left back is well known after a dip in form by Nacho Monreal, and the disappointment that has been the much-hyped Kieran Gibbs.
Schalke fans held a banner up yesterday which read "Six years our crest. Thanks Seo." In an apparent goodbye to Arsenal bound Kolasinac.

Let’s all speculate for a bit. There’s this reply from teammate Max Meyer. It could all be a joke from Meyer of course, but Gunners will hope not. More to follow as we get it.
