Out with the Old, In with the New
Pep Guardiola has wasted no time in getting his squad for the 2017/18 season in order. No fewer than five players have been released from the Etihad this week as the Spaniard seeks to renew his team with fresh blood.

Some departures will be more harshly felt than others with three of those five being full backs. Even Navas himself has filled in at right back this season, a conversion which made sense given that he’s been avoiding the goal since 2014.
A cryptic Instagram post from Spurs defender Kyle Walker has tabloids buzzing ahead of a transfer away from the North London club. It has been widely expected that he will be making the move further north to Manchester to suit up for Pep Guardiola’s City. There’s certainly room for him there now.
Sticking with City, Monaco’s midfield maestro Bernardo Silva is on his way to the Etihad with a medical scheduled for this afternoon.

It’s a shame to see Silva leave Monaco after the season he and they have had. Time will show if this turns out to be a sign of things to come for the French champions but it is not looking good for them. If rumours that Fabinho is also a target for City, it could spark an exodus.

Looks like the lack of silverware hurt Pep more than we thought. He and City look like they’re on a mission for next season.
