Europa League Final

Where else is there to start than with the Europa League Final? Jose Mourinho once again showed his class as a driver manager guiding Manchester United to a 2-0 win over Ajax. Goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the win, justifying the bags of money spent to bring them to Old Trafford. With this the Red Devils booked their ticket to the Champions League, despite finishing 6th in the Premier League this season.

The Portuguese manager’s delight was clear for the world to see as he celebrated with his staff.

‘I don’t want to win the Europa League. It would be a big disappointment for me. I don’t want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition’ – Jose Mourinho upon returning to Chelsea in 2013

Safe to say quotes like the one above are a thing of the past. Enjoy the celebrations Jose. There’s plenty who’d rather be in your place right now.
